In the summer of this year, around the monastery Tatev (Armenia, Syunik region), 20 new rock-climbing routes for fans of sports rock-climbing were reequipped with Alexey Trubachev, Antuan Ananyan and Arshak Mkrtchyan’s active participation. The characteristic feature of this area is the variety of forms of the rocky relief concentrated in a zone of rather simple availability, which is highly appreciated by the international rock-climbing society. Besides the obvious value for the tourist industry, rock-climbing development around the monastery Tatev will give the Armenian athletes the chance to have more productive trainings, as well as to involve in sports activities the youth, to provide possibilities for new achievements in this dynamic, fashionable, popular around the world, two years a recognized Olympic sport – rock-climbing.
